FORCE MAJEURE˚ experiment 56, our olfactive brain booster, was born of a collaboration between The Society of Scent - a collective of perfumers and disruptive thinkers - and forceMAJEURE Design, an award-winning international creative agency with a long history of designing for the fragrance industry. It embodies a natural synergy between a designer's work and a master perfumer: the challenge of translating concepts into visual and sensorial experiences.

 

The power of scent has long been recognized for its ability to trigger memory and enhance mood. Perfumers the world over have blended fragrances that stimulate the senses and bring back powerful and distinctive memories. Two creative teams came together and decided to push this concept further - to explore a scent that can stimulate creativity. We initially dubbed it Experiment 56, the Olfactive Brain Booster - a statement scent that goes beyond the traditional role of fragrance.

The goal of this unique experimentation is simple yet daring: to create an olfactive experience that can amplify the brain's creative power with confidence, energy, and imagination. The Society of Scent employed the pressure-free "Slow Scent" technique to create a gender-neutral, distinctive expression that exists at the intersection of innovation and craft. Moreover, the name Force Majeure speaks to the powerful momentum of uninhibited creativity: our Olfactive brain booster fragrance is a passionate tribute to creativity.

"First, a sharp, zesty grapefruit note invigorates the senses" Under the initial burst of citrus lies earthy, sensuous, and grounding vetiver intertwined with hemp oil, known to enhance imagination and creativity. A salty sea breeze note rounds out the fragrance with a bit of spice and copper accord - a micronutrient essential to the brain's health.
